My recent stay at Howard Johnson By Wyndham Appleton was a mix of highs and lows. the location was great, close to Lawrence University and other attractions. the room was comfortable, with a spacious work desk and modern amenities like free WiFi. the complimentary Rise and Dine continental breakfast was a nice touch, offering a light morning option. However, the overall cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. the smell of cigarettes lingered throughout, and the breakfast area was unappetizing. the outdated hallways and lack of attention to cleanliness were off-putting. Despite the shortcomings, the friendly staff and convenient location made our stay manageable. With some improvements in cleanliness and updating, this hotel has the potential to shine. For now, I would recommend it for budget-conscious travelers looking for a central location in Appleton.
